Rules for Radicals

“We're all just walking each other home.” Ram Dass

I find it amusing that in the story of Easter, it is often forgotten that Jesus of Nazareth was a radical revolutionary change agent, someone who so challenged the status quo that he paid the ultimate price. As awake beings living in these dynamic times, we like to see ourselves as revolutionary progressive reformist outsiders, but we also bump into all of the fear and hesitancy around what could happen if we really stood tall. Overcoming this fear is why we need community, people to remind us that we are not alone and that we belong. Deep down we just really want to belong, we want to experience connection, and this belonging makes us courageous. The problem, though, is that even if we wish to belong we are often so used to being on the outside that we reject the very same belonging that we are looking for.

Join us on Sunday as we use the Easter story to explore the power of remembering that we belong to one another, and the radical ways we can commit to our own courageous journeys.
